Starting with the business

Burnix began with a friend opening his own electrical business. I offered to help him get started with a logo and business cards. Over time, that grew into social media and his first website. The audience was a mix of homeowners, builders and commercial clients, with one practical goal for the site: make it easy to send an enquiry or pick up the phone.

Red, black and a lightning mark

He had a logo reference he liked, particularly the red colour and lightning imagery. I adapted that direction for Burnix and carried it through the original business cards: the name and contact details on the front, with electrical services on the back. The red, black and white palette and diagonal accents gave the business a visual direction that could continue into the website and social media.

From Figma to WordPress

I designed the website in Figma, then coded it for WordPress. The red panels, black diagonals and prominent logo carry the identity from the cards onto the screen. I handled the design, development, copywriting, hosting and SEO, keeping the information and contact options at the centre of the build.

A clear route to an enquiry

The main page brings the services, customer reviews and contact details together. Visitors can check what Burnix does and contact the business without having to work through several pages. Call buttons provide a direct route for people ready to talk, while the quote button leads to the enquiry form. On mobile, the information stacks into a single column and the main contact buttons stay prominent.

A simple way to get in touch

The contact section puts the phone number and email address beside a straightforward enquiry form. Visitors can describe the work they need, with optional phone and suburb fields for extra context. It gives homeowners, builders and commercial clients a clear next step from browsing the services to starting a conversation.

Still looking after it

The project has grown alongside the business over several years. I continue to maintain the website and support Burnix's social media, with SEO still being adjusted and refined. The work now spans the original printed identity and a live website that gives customers a clear way to understand the services and get in touch.
