Camden Archery

A welcoming website for a local archery club, with a clear way into a first session and a useful place for members to return to.

The starting point
Camden already had a website, but it had dated and the club couldn't change it themselves. Updates ran through an outside company, so even putting up the next Come & Try date meant waiting on someone else. The job was to make the site feel more like the club and make the everyday information easier to find and look after.
A club you can picture yourself in
The design starts with the people and the place. Photos from the range sit alongside warm off-white backgrounds, bold Archivo headings and DM Sans for the smaller details. The target rings and curved corners carry the archery through the layout. I worked through the pages and shared components in Figma, with three clear paths from the homepage: try archery, explore shooting, or join the club.

From curious to booked
For a first-timer, the questions are fairly simple: when can I come, what happens, and what do I need to bring? The Come & Try page puts upcoming sessions first, followed by coaching, equipment, practical details and common questions. Each session leads through to Assemble for availability and booking. On mobile, the same information stacks into a single column with the booking action close to the session details.

A place for the regulars
The site also has to work for people who already shoot at Camden. A dedicated members' page brings upcoming shoots, notices, renewal links, scores, rules and club documents into one place. The full calendar is there when they need it, and the regular shooting days are easy to check. Newcomers can follow their own path without making members dig through beginner information.

The build and the handover
I rebuilt the site and moved it onto hosting I look after. Come & Try dates, club news, membership information and the calendar are editable, so routine changes can happen without going back through an outside company. The design gives those updates a consistent home: the club can change the information without having to rethink the page around it.
Still looking after it
The new site is live, with a clearer route from finding the club to booking a first session, and a home for the information members use regularly. I continue to handle hosting, SEO and upkeep, and support the club's social media with photos from the range.
